CTCB-I Cleanroom Testing course - March 16th-18th, 2021

Days 1 and 2 of the CTCB-I Cleanroom Testing course couldn't be delivered on-site owing to the current coronavirus pandemic. To keep everyone safe, the CCN decided to deliver the Associate part of the course remotely by Zoom.

This was a first for the CCN and required planning to ensure that all candidates had the right set-up to access the course. The candidates required a laptop and web camera to access the course so that whilst sitting the exam, they could be observed by the invigilator. They also needed a printer and scanner to print off the Associate exam and then scan it back after the assessment. We were pleased that candidates didn't experience any connectivity issues despite joining from all over the world, including Thailand and South Africa.

Day three required assessments, so Professional candidates attended our premises to be assessed in person, and their temperature was taken on arrival. This required a lot of planning to ensure that there was time to sanitise all the equipment in between candidate assessments. The assessments were also timed so that no two candidates ever came in contact with one another. All candidates also wore masks and followed social distancing rules.

Our next CTCB-I Cleanroom Testing course will be held in November 2021. We hope to be able to deliver it on-site and in-person once again.
