Important NEW BS EN ISO Cleanroom Standards published

UK experts and CCN Members have been engaged over many months in the development of these important new and revised standards. 

BS EN ISO 14644-16:2019 Cleanrooms and associated controlled environments - Part 16: Energy efficiency in cleanrooms and separative devices.

• Was substantially based on and will replace BS 8568:2013 Cleanroom energy. Code of practice for improving energy efficiency in cleanrooms and clean air devices.
• Convenor was Dick Gibbons from BSI LBI/030 committee and the main UK experts were CCN members Nigel Lenegan and Keith Beattie.
• The standard provides very practical requirements and guidance on energy saving opportunities and best practices. 
• It has been written to apply to existing facilities and systems as well as new investments.
• Is an essential tool for users, designers and installers of cleanrooms and clean air devices.

BS EN ISO 14644-3:2019 Cleanrooms and associated controlled environments - Part 3: Test methods.

• Had major input from UK expert members of BSI LBI/030 committee and the CCN - Steve Ward, Bill Whyte, Tim Triggs & Gordon Farquharson.
• Will replace the now very old 2005 version.
• Contains new and updated guidance on testing cleanrooms and clean air devices.
• Includes both Photometer and Particle contour methods for filter leak testing.
• is an essential tool for all good testing practice and to satisfy the regulatory demands of the Life Sciences sector.
